About the position

The Technical Project Manager (Administrative/Technical) will lead project efforts in the Subsea and Seabed Warfare and Maritime Operations Department at NAVSURFWARFCTR Panama City Division. This role involves managing the lifecycle support of Personal Protective Equipment for NAVSEA's Antiterrorism Afloat Equipage project, ensuring effective planning, execution, monitoring, and control of tasks to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project team efforts supporting NAVSEA's Antiterrorism Afloat Equipage project.
  • Manage planning, execution, monitoring, and control of tasking to achieve objectives for cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Oversee financial tracking and reporting, risk and schedule management, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Negotiate fiscal year tasking with NAVSEA and other sponsors.
  • Manage projects requiring knowledge in textiles/clothing, engineering, mathematics, science, project management, business, economics, finance, or development/planning.
  • Coordinate with other departments within NSWC PCD for procurement of large value material contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for operations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • Must complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment.
  • Specialized experience in providing technical support in the development, planning, execution, and monitoring of administrative and business practices related to Navy personal protective equipment.
