About the position

The Technical Project Manager role at Actalent involves overseeing the application of project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, particularly within the context of community programs and customer connection initiatives. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to manage program requirements, timelines, and resources while ensuring effective communication and project execution. The role is contract-based and requires on-site presence in Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage program requirements, plans, timeline, issues, risks, and challenges.
  • Support Managers to drive a program or projects.
  • Work closely with program/process owners, stakeholders, and business partners to identify business change and drive consensus for manageable change strategies.
  • Manage programs and projects involving multiple parties/organizations with conflicting agendas and business priorities.
  • Lead cross-organization project teams towards targeted and scheduled outcomes.
  • Engage with program/process owners, stakeholders, and business partners to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress.
  • Set up communities, including creating back-end forms and workflows for customer connection activities.
  • Manage Microsoft Community Programs, including Customer Connection Programs, MVP programs, MFUG, and CDAC.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for customer queries for community programs.
  • Set up and drive community calls and webinars, including event setup, content reviews, and post-call reporting.
  • Monitor and track customer activities in community Teams sites to ensure timely responses from Microsoft.
  • Provide monthly and ad-hoc status reporting for community programs to key internal stakeholders.
  • Run Private Previews and other early-stage co-development activities within the programs.
  • Provide reporting and develop specs for PowerBI dashboards for various program components.
  • Develop a comprehensive playbook of operational processes used within the community programs.
  • Plan and execute events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience with Microsoft Teams.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • PMP or PMI certification preferred.
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic understanding of data and Power BI.
