About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of Point of Sale (POS) systems within the Petroleum and Convenience Retail (PCR) group. This role focuses on ensuring client satisfaction, managing project budgets, and maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage multiple high-visibility project teams and deliver projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Ultimate responsibility for the agile release train
  • Manage multiple high visibility project teams across various phases of the project lifecycle
  • Conduct project kick-off, closures, and post mortems
  • Internal and external status meetings and reporting (tracking timeline, cost, scope)
  • Issue and escalation management
  • Formal risk assessments (internal and external) and mitigations
  • Change management
  • Management of pilot installs and overall system rollout
  • Manage transition process of site support from project team to the maintenance team
  • Responsible for project resource procurement
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, on scope with high quality
  • Development and execution of the project plan and all related tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's preferred and applicable experience
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM
  • Technology implementation experience
  • Microsoft project experience
  • Extensive computer knowledge and experience
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent team building skills

Nice-to-haves

  • International experience
  • Retail business and/or retail technology experience
  • RTE and PMP certification preferred but not required
