Technical Project Manager- Atlas Fleet Operations

About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Prototype Fleet Operations Project Manager to join the Atlas team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our robot testing runs smoothly, effectively, and on schedule. You will act as the central hub for managing robot hardware operations, communication, and coordination across teams. Responsibilities

• Coordinate directly with the Software Technical Project Manager and Software leads to maintain a full and productive experiment backlog to ensure efficient utilization of robot resources
• Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling and prioritizing access to robots, test articles, and related resources
• Track and maintain up-to-date data on the state and readiness of the robot fleet
• Manage the rollout of hardware and software upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to users and operations
• Escalate time-sensitive issues requiring specialist intervention
• Identify and escalate hardware or software bottlenecks impacting operational efficiency
• Act as the central communicator for issues, updates, and resource requests related to the robot fleet
• Monitor, track, and report on team-level metrics to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics or a related field
• 1-4 years of experience in project management in a technology or engineering environment
• Agile project management experience, with proficiency in tools such as JIRA to manage workflows and track progress
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present information and ideas to audiences at all levels of the organization
• Ability to thrive in interrupt-driven work environments and pivot priorities as needed
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented and proactive
