About the position

The Technical Project Manager at T-Mobile USA plays a crucial role in delivering and implementing medium-sized projects that enhance profitability, streamline operations, and improve service within the Broadband business. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions, ensuring effective project management and resource utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble key players on the project team and nurture internal working relationships across the enterprise.
  • Delegate project responsibilities and task interfaces, directing and managing project work and resources.
  • Ensure timely activity, integration, and productivity of technical support while administering efficient resource use.
  • Facilitate the creation of work breakdown structures and develop/update project schedules/plans.
  • Analyze validity of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the project.
  • Monitor actual project progress, compare to baseline, and report progress against schedule.
  • Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in project parameters.
  • Produce detailed reports and communicate project status to stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Identify risks in projects and use proven PM techniques to assess and mitigate them.
  • Facilitate project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Attend and host management and project team meetings to keep the project team informed.
  • Facilitate the creation of the project charter and ensure completeness of project-related documentation.
  • Close all project documentation upon completion and archive records for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years as a program or product manager within a technology environment.
  • 2 years working on projects in a wireless industry preferred.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g., Asana, Aha!, JIRA).
  • Strong communication skills to all levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or comparable Agile Management Certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
