About the position
The Technical Project Manager (Cloud/Infrastructure/IT) role is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in project management, particularly in cloud and infrastructure domains. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations while overseeing project documentation and financial tracking. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cloud services and be proficient in various project-planning tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee technical projects related to cloud and infrastructure.
- Develop and track project budgets and financials, ensuring alignment with Capex and Opex concepts.
- Create and maintain project documentation including Project Charter, Risk Register, and Communication Plan.
- Set and manage customer expectations effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project-planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow to facilitate project execution.
- Influence and negotiate with stakeholders in a matrixed environment to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a hands-on project management role.
- Strong background in infrastructure and software project management, preferably with cloud experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in project-planning tools like MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively in a non-direct control environment.
- Sound understanding of financial concepts such as ROI, Amortization, and Depreciation.
- Experience in creating comprehensive project documentation.
Nice-to-haves
- MBA or MS degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Certified Practitioner.
