The Technical Project Manager (TPM) at Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU) will play a pivotal role in leading a highly motivated, global, cross-functional team through the New Product Development Process. This position is essential for driving projects from initiation through to production, ensuring that the team meets the high standards expected by our telecommunication and data center customers. The TPM will be responsible for managing multiple New Product Development projects simultaneously, focusing on both customer-specific and general market initiatives. This role requires a strong leader who can navigate challenges, mentor team members, and make critical project-level decisions that align with business objectives. In this role, the TPM will work directly with end customers to monitor project progress, proactively addressing any areas of opportunity or challenges that arise. Collaboration with all stakeholders is crucial, as the TPM will define product scope, project schedules, and manage the engineering budget throughout the development process. The TPM will also ensure that key technology projects support customer deliverables through effective communication and collaboration. Developing project charters that clearly articulate strategy, scope, financials, and schedules is a key responsibility, along with managing project change control and documentation. The TPM will lead the development and management of project plans, ensuring that macro project schedules are adhered to and that functional team members are held accountable. Identifying and executing risk reduction activities to minimize potential project risks related to cost, quality, and timing is essential. The TPM will also be responsible for project reporting and communication to leadership and customers, as well as mentoring team members in project management principles and processes. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with an expectation of 25% travel, primarily to the headquarters in Lisle, IL, and other global design centers or manufacturing plants.
