Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Technical Project Manager for the Global Data Center Design and Construction, AMER region. As our AMER Region Technical Project Manager, you would have the key responsibility to track and coordinate the leased data center technical due diligence pipeline, develop and implement organizational processes, and assist in driving the development and regional implementation of all our OCI data center facility design and construction efforts. You will work with a team of electrical, mechanical, controls, network infrastructure engineering, commissioning, and site selection resources to facilitate and drive the acquisition and evolution of OCI's facility infrastructure design and support OCI's rapid cloud growth globally. A critical part of this role will be focused on driving further definition of our organizational processes, leased facility pipeline management, infrastructure products and leading continuous improvement in how we design, deploy, and expand our data center footprint. Substantial work and coordination with 3rd party vendors (data center lease providers, design and commissioning consultants, contractors, and equipment manufacturers, etc.), internal cross-functional stakeholders and DCE organizational team.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the design, build, commissioning & delivery of data center critical infrastructure & network capacity for Oracle Cloud.
  • Develop, manage, review and research complex multi-faceted, larger scale construction project plans, and operational challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Work with engineering teams to deliver the project and represent Design & Construction teams in cross-OCI meetings.
  • Build trusted relationships with immediate team, external stakeholders, and vendors to influence decisions for the benefit of the business.
  • Develop capital project budgets and sophisticated business case analyses.
  • Travel to data center sites for building relationships with pre-construction, construction, and QA/QC partners, as required (10% - 15% travel).
  • Respond on an as-needed basis to data center build and construction related emergencies.
  • Conduct weekly project meetings with core teams to provide feedback and assist in addressing concerns and removing roadblocks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in architecture, engineering, or an equivalent technical field; Master's degree, CSM, and PMP are a plus.
  • 5+ years running large scale technical programs.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities.
  • A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.
  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and processes quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling.

  • Primavera, Bluebeam, CAD, CFM modeling experience or understanding.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
