About the position

The Technical Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of relocating a client's data center and IT equipment to a new facility. This role requires a strong background in data center operations, IT infrastructure, and complex project management, focusing on developing comprehensive project plans, overseeing equipment relocation, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan with timelines and resource allocation.
• Oversee the relocation of IT equipment and data center operations.
• Coordinate with various teams for logistics and installation.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols during the relocation process.
• Manage the physical move of equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Conduct inventory assessments of IT equipment.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience managing large-scale data center or IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of data center operations, networking, servers, and storage systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
• Experience with data center design and infrastructure planning.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coordinate across multiple teams.
• Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
