About the position

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Information Technology department. This role is pivotal in managing the entire lifecycle of technology projects at AHC, from pre-planning through to closure. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of project management plans that align with the AHC project management process. This includes communicating project plans in senior forums and leading multidisciplinary technical design reviews. The successful candidate will coordinate with AHC Information Technology team members, service line team members, and vendor implementation teams to ensure project success. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will support vendor sales negotiations and provide direction to vendor implementation teams, integrating product and outcome-based measurement data into project management strategies to enhance team productivity. This position may also involve additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall mission of extending God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the entire lifecycle management of AHC technology projects.
  • Lead development and implementation of project management plans based on the AHC project management process.
  • Communicate plans in senior forums.
  • Lead multidisciplinary technical design reviews including coordination of AHC Information Technology team members, AHC service line team members, and vendor implementation teams.
  • Support vendor sales negotiations and provide project direction to vendor implementation teams.
  • Integrate product and outcome-based measurement data into project management strategies to increase team productivity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Bachelor's degree in business or health care with a technology concentration.
  • Master's Degree in Technology (preferred).
  • 4-5 years experience supporting IT organizations in a customer-facing support role.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the healthcare industry.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
