About the position

The Technical Project Manager for Digital Innovation at Barry-Wehmiller is responsible for managing the lifecycle of digital products and services that enhance customer experience and equipment performance. This role involves collaborating with various business units to define product scope, manage development projects, and support engineering teams in product direction. The ideal candidate will be energetic, empathetic, and intellectually curious, working within a customer-centric team to ensure the digital innovation portfolio aligns with customer needs and market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and prioritize product requirements based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies and marketing collateral.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business executives, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Share ownership of customer engagement and success of digital products and services.
  • Design and adhere to best practice product and program management processes.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Maintain a transparent product portfolio roadmap aligned with business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product development or program management.
  • 5+ years of experience working with software engineering teams and external customers.
  • Experience in human-centered design or human-machine interaction is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful product strategies.
  • Experience with software/hardware/network/security engineering practices.
  • Experience managing multiple large complex projects concurrently.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data management, analytics, and business intelligence technologies.
  • Familiarity with Portfolio and Project Management tools.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $111,000 - $166,000 based on experience and location.
