About the position

The Technical Project Manager - Ecommerce will oversee the successful delivery of projects within the ecommerce ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. This role requires a strong background in ecommerce operations and project management, with expertise in analytics, merchandising, inventory management, and logistics systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end ecommerce projects, from planning and execution through to final delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytics, merchandising, inventory management, and logistics) to develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Leverage analytics to drive data-informed decisions that optimize ecommerce operations, including product performance, customer behavior, and site usability.
  • Oversee merchandising strategies to ensure optimal product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities aligned with brand goals and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory levels across digital channels, ensuring inventory accuracy and availability, while optimizing stock to meet demand.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of product data through effective MDM practices, supporting seamless item management across ecommerce platforms.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to integrate both legacy and modern systems, ensuring efficiency in product distribution, order fulfillment, and return processes.
  • Develop project documentation, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and reports, providing clear communication to stakeholders and managing expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, adjusting project plans and resources as necessary to meet changing business needs.
  • Measure and track project performance using appropriate tools and metrics, ensuring successful project delivery and continuous improvement in processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Ecommerce, or a related field; PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce project management or related roles.
  • Proven experience with analytics tools and platforms, and ability to translate insights into actionable ecommerce strategies.
  • Deep understanding of merchandising and inventory management principles, particularly in an ecommerce environment.
  • Proficiency in Master Data Management (MDM) and item management, ensuring accurate and consistent product data across channels.
  • Familiarity with logistics systems (legacy and new technologies) and experience coordinating with logistics teams to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
  • Technical proficiency in ecommerce platforms, ERP systems, inventory management systems, and analytics tools.

  • Experience working within a fast-paced retail or ecommerce environment.
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and SEO best practices to support ecommerce growth.
