PACCAR is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager - Embedded Systems to join our team in Kirkland, WA. This position is part of PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which supports the Peterbilt, Kenworth, and DAF truck brands. The Technical Project Manager will lead vehicle function development through the V-Cycle Development Process, overseeing projects from requirements definition through system validation. This role is crucial for coordinating and aligning global requirements, hardware and software development, electrical development, and testing for a global vehicle platform. The successful candidate will work closely with teams in North America and Europe to deliver advanced Dashboard/Infotainment displays that monitor Engine Info, BEV info, OBD Info, and data from other controllers. Additionally, the position will involve leading VECU development activities to support the next generation of vehicle architecture for BEV, FCEV, and ICE platforms. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading product development through initial design concepts, project budget and schedule development, risk identification, and mitigation, ensuring quality product implementations in a matrixed organization. This role requires coordination of technical development of components with technical leads within the department and serving as a liaison between truck division Program Managers and Embedded Engineering teams to understand program risks, development activities, and technical issues. The candidate will also ensure intellectual property coverage for new Embedded Engineering technical ideas, lead technical review meetings, coordinate functional safety reviews, and track the completion of safety concepts. Furthermore, the Technical Project Manager will build and present product development updates to senior leadership, lead continuous improvement for software design and validation processes, support ASPICE process integration throughout PACCAR, and adhere to PACCAR global corporate standards for embedded system development and validation. The role also includes developing, managing, and improving Embedded Engineering department procedures and providing training to staff on procedures and processes related to embedded systems.
