PACCAR's Global Electronics department, which supports the Peterbilt, Kenworth, and DAF truck brands, has an opening for a Technical Project Manager - Embedded Systems. This position will lead vehicle function development through the V-Cycle Development Process from requirements definition through system validation for their assigned projects. The successful candidate will coordinate and align global requirements, hardware and software development, electrical development, and testing. This role will involve working cohesively with North American teams and European teams to deliver the next-level Dashboard/Infotainment display that will host and monitor Engine Info, BEV info, OBD Info, and information from other controllers. Additionally, the position will lead VECU development activities to support the next generation of vehicle architecture for BEV, FCEV, and ICE platforms. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading product development through initial design concepts, project budget and schedule development, risk identification, and mitigation, while supporting quality product implementations in a matrixed organization. This role requires serving as the liaison between truck division Program Managers and Embedded Engineering teams to understand program risks, development activities, and technical issues. The candidate will ensure intellectual property coverage for new Embedded Engineering technical ideas, lead technical review meetings related to assigned projects, and coordinate functional safety reviews while tracking the completion of safety concepts. Furthermore, the candidate will build and present product development updates to senior leadership, lead continuous improvement for software design and validation processes, and support ASPICE process integration throughout PACCAR. The successful candidate will also develop, manage, and improve Embedded Engineering department procedures and work with the organization to implement enhancements. Training department staff on procedures and processes related to embedded systems will also be part of the responsibilities.
