About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing and completing projects within the Information Technology department, specifically focusing on finance-related projects. This role requires effective communication across various business units, breaking down complex technical issues into manageable tasks, and ensuring that both team members and executive management are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Transform limited information into executable project plans.
  • Collaboratively set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
  • Build and maintain relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Create organized and thorough documentation for stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for executive management regarding project status, risks, costs, and recommendations.
  • Deliver difficult information to stakeholders when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineering to determine project approaches.
  • Utilize experience and creativity to plan and achieve project goals.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations.
  • Work independently and proactively manage tasks after project assignment.

Requirements

  • 7-8+ years as a Technical Project Manager in a data-driven or financial analysis field.
  • Certified ScrumMaster and/or PMP certification.
  • Experience with complex data processing systems, particularly Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including C#.NET, WCF, WF, and SQL Server.
  • Strong communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Direct management experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience with database conversion and implementation of enterprise-level content management systems.
  • Ability to create quality assurance plans and technical design specifications.
