About the position

The Technical Project Manager for Hardware Embedded will play a crucial role in managing the development and validation of test stations for a global consumer product company. This position requires strong project management skills, effective communication, and an engineering background, particularly in consumer electronics. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in project management, focusing on coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Test Engineering teams to identify hardware and software development and validation dependencies.
  • Develop schedules for test solutions delivery and track dependencies and product milestones.
  • Highlight risks and escalate gaps in the project.
  • Decompose test and calibration requirements into discrete features with specific dependencies.
  • Schedule meetings between cross-functional teams to discuss issues and capture meeting notes and action items.
  • Document and share learnings of build bring-up timelines and deliverables between CM partners.
  • Collaborate with internal logistics teams and cross-functional EPM teams to coordinate logistics and assess potential risks.
  • Apply project management methodologies and tools to define a repeatable build bring-up tracking process.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of Project Management experience in consumer electronics.
  • Ability to design and implement PM processes and track progress effectively.
  • Experience defining, collecting, and tracking system-level, hardware, and software requirements.
  • Robust understanding of hardware NPI and factory test roles in system builds.
  • Track record of proactively uncovering and bridging risks.
  • Clear and efficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to collaborate with remote teams during China-friendly hours.
  • EE background highly preferred.
