About the position

The Technical Project Manager (HR Domain) at Cognizant is responsible for leading the design and implementation of data solutions that leverage AWS technologies. This role requires collaboration with multifunctional teams to ensure project success, focusing on data architecture and governance within the HR domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in AWS Glue and related technologies, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to team members and leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items are tracked and completed on time.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using AWS Glue Studio, AWS Glue ETL, and AWS Glue Catalog.
  • Oversee the integration of Amazon S3 and Apache Spark into data workflows to ensure seamless data processing and storage.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team in applying AWS Glue and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure to meet the company's needs.
  • Optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures, processes, and standard methodologies.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and consistency to standards.
  • Monitor and solve data pipelines to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS Glue and related technologies to continuously improve solutions.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement data governance and compliance measures to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new tools and techniques to enhance data processing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of AWS Glue Studio, AWS Glue ETL, and AWS Glue Catalog.
  • Extensive experience in the HR domain.
  • Extensive experience with Amazon S3 and Apache Spark.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex data issues.
  • Superb communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in designing scalable and reliable data architectures.
  • Track record of optimizing data workflows for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standard processes.
  • Solid attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
