About the position

MindComputing is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead Security Policies and Processes for a significant federal project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role combines technical expertise with strong management skills, focusing on building partnerships with customers and stakeholders to ensure project success. The Project Manager will define system scope and objectives, analyze technical data, and ensure that all customer requirements are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects involving security policies and processes, ensuring alignment with the VA's mission.
• Define system scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders to meet technical needs.
• Analyze technical data to provide insights that drive project execution and support decision-making processes.
• Offer expert guidance to VA management and stakeholders on project activities and system operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, gathering requirements and maintaining clear communication.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure all project activities meet specified standards, documenting findings and providing training as needed.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities to support team objectives and ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
• 8-10 years of extensive understanding of emergency management operations and preparedness strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to budget and time constraints.
• Experience in system lifecycle management and conducting quality assurance reviews.
• Familiarity with VA or similar federal project requirements.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with federal agencies, particularly the VA or defense-related projects.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
