BOOST is helping our client NAVSYS recruit a Technical Project Manager who will coordinate commercial and government product development and contract management activities in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will support the commercialization of NAVSYS' advanced Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) products and will work closely with strategic partners, customers, engineers, company management, vendors, and suppliers to communicate program-related direction and decisions. Development activities include hardware design, systems engineering, systems analysis, and software development. The TPM will be responsible for supporting engineering leads by providing budget planning and oversight for multiple project teams who complete day-to-day tasks for the delivery of commercial products and execution of development contracts. This role requires excellent organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to operate fluidly and efficiently in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports engineering leads by providing budget planning and oversight for the multiple project teams who complete day-to-day tasks for the delivery of commercial products and execution of development contracts.
  • Coordinates the delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Prepares proposals and sales quotations for technical products and new contract opportunities.
  • Interacts with existing and potential new customers, engineering and business development team members, new and prospective vendors, and suppliers in order to successfully win and deliver programs.
  • Responsible for project tracking and analysis, ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables.
  • Prepares customer briefings, activity and status reports as required for assigned programs.
  • Develops and maintains project plans and projections, coordinates the effective use of resources, manages deliverables, schedules, and costs.
  • Leads proposal development to include developing resource estimates, statements of work, milestone identification, deliverables, scheduling, and costing.
  • Participates in product-related process improvement initiatives and managing configuration control of products.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible. An active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is a plus.
  • 4+ years Project Management experience with U.S. Government, DoD, and commercial contract and sub-contract program management including managing customer relationships, schedule, and budget management.
  • BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or 6 years relevant technical experience.
  • Experience working with technical/engineering teams, generating technical and cost proposals.
  • Willingness to take daily direction from CEO, be motivated, a self-starter, and team-player with the ability to complete tasks assigned and address diverse challenges in a complex environment.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to operate fluidly and efficiently and to motivate and monitor technical staff assigned in a matrix organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with MS Project or Unanet.
  • Familiarity with software development, product sales, and SaaS.
