About the position

The Technical Project Manager role at Cognizant involves overseeing infrastructure operations and managing technical projects to ensure business continuity and successful project execution. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily infrastructure operations to ensure seamless business continuity.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of technical projects, ensuring projects are completed according to outlined objectives.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure objectives are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Manage the internal and external Audit.
  • Oversee day-to-day technical operations, including assignments and personnel review.
  • Manage project scope effectively to align with business objectives and deliverables.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Lead Scrum meetings to ensure project milestones are met and team collaboration is optimized.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Analyze and report on infrastructure performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their infrastructure needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure operations.

Requirements

  • 10 to 14 years of experience in project management and business operations.
  • Strong experience in Business Operations demonstrating the ability to manage and optimize processes.
  • Proven track record in Project Scope Management ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Expertise in Risk Management with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks effectively.
  • Deep Technical Knowledge capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Proficient in Scrum leading teams to achieve project goals through effective collaboration.
  • Ability to understand systems from the 'big picture' enterprise-level view to the low-level technical view.
  • Technical Knowledge on Cloud, NextGen, and CICD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure management.
  • Certifications in ITIL or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
