The Technical Project Manager II - Federal at Lumen plays a crucial role in managing projects related to Lab and Field Engineering environments. This position is responsible for setting milestones for each project and coordinating efforts between various teams, both internal and external, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery according to established plans. The Technical Project Manager will assist with technical proposals, engineering processes, and documentation control, ensuring that all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will oversee projects from inception to completion, which includes conducting research, conceptualization, feasibility assessments, design, proposal development, lab testing, implementation planning, procurement, documentation, and transitioning projects to the operational environment. The position requires interfacing with team members and vendors/suppliers to ensure support, scheduling, milestone achievement, and adherence to development processes and goals. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will assist in the procurement of specialized equipment, manage equipment tracking, and support related services and agreements. The Technical Project Manager will also be responsible for collaboratively adapting existing project plans and developing new processes and communication standards for the engineering teams. Ongoing tracking of each assigned project will be a key responsibility, along with the development of reports and presentations to communicate project status and outcomes. Proactive management of program material inventory, tools, and related material tracking databases is essential, as is the identification of changes in project scope and associated risks, with the development of contingency plans as needed. This role also includes responsibilities related to inventory control and asset management, ensuring that all project resources are effectively utilized and accounted for.
