The Technical Project Manager II - Federal at Lumen plays a crucial role in managing projects related to Lab and Field Engineering environments. This position is responsible for setting milestones for each project and coordinating efforts between various teams, both internal and external, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery according to established plans. The Technical Project Manager will assist with technical proposals, engineering processes, and documentation control, ensuring that all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will oversee projects from inception to completion, which includes conducting research, assessing feasibility, designing solutions, preparing proposals, conducting lab testing, planning implementations, managing procurement processes, and ensuring proper documentation. The position requires interfacing with team members and vendors to ensure support, scheduling, milestone achievement, and adherence to development processes and goals. The Technical Project Manager will also assist in the procurement of specialized equipment and manage related services and agreements. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for adapting existing project plans and developing new processes and communication standards for the engineering teams. This includes ongoing tracking of each assigned project, developing reports and presentations, managing program material inventory, and proactively identifying changes in project scope and associated risks, along with developing contingency plans as necessary. Inventory control and asset management are also key components of this role, ensuring that all materials and tools are accounted for and effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
