About the position

The Technical Project Manager II position at Kforce involves supporting client-requested projects and conversions to the processing platform. This role offers flexibility in work arrangements, including remote, hybrid, or onsite options, with occasional travel to clients or the Milwaukee office, estimated at 10% or less. The position requires a strong understanding of IT project methodologies and project management standards to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support client requested projects and conversions to the processing platform.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Utilize various IT project methodologies and life cycles for project execution.
• Implement project management best practices as per PMBOK standards.
• Conduct risk and issues management processes, including risk identification and response.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to define project objectives and scope.
• Prepare project justification and major deliverables documentation.

Requirements

• PMP certification is required.
• Considerable knowledge and experience with IT project methodologies and life cycles.
• Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, and guidelines.
• Experience with industry project management best practices (PMBOK).
• Knowledge of communications and escalation management.
• Experience with risk and issues management processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Knowledge of software industry standards (ISO, CMM, Six Sigma).
• Understanding of procurement management processes.
• Advanced skills in project management software (e.g., MS Project, PlanView).
• Skill in interviewing and conducting assessments with clients.
