About the position

The Technical Project Manager II at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is responsible for overseeing the development of video experiences for the Disney Streaming platform. This role involves collaboration with Program and Engineering managers, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, and facilitating the seamless delivery of high-quality consumer applications. The position emphasizes strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a roadmap for the team aligned with product priorities.
• Execute multiple projects concurrently with a remote and distributed Engineering team.
• Facilitate project processes by creating, managing, and updating documentation.
• Keep stakeholders informed of project statuses, updates, and risks.
• Cultivate relationships across engineering and technical teams as the end-to-end liaison.
• Identify solution paths for competing requirements while managing stakeholder preferences.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and facilitate the development of requirements considering technical capabilities and limitations.
• Work with backend and service teams to establish team needs and communicate risks.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Project Manager managing large scale projects.
• Technical literacy to follow technical discussions and absorb documentation.
• Proficient understanding of technical architecture and workflow for the team.
• Experience running a consumer application development project through the entire SDLC.
• Knowledge of project management processes including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall.
• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
