Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact to translate business needs into actionable requirements, writing user stories, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment throughout the development process.
  • Lead and facilitate Agile practices within scrum teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, to maintain project momentum and alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the development and quality assurance processes, ensuring all deliverables meet established standards, stakeholder requirements, and align with organizational objectives before release.
  • Organize, track, and report on project progress and key milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders to maintain transparency and address any roadblocks proactively.
  • Assist scrum teams in defining clear project objectives, setting realistic timelines, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals, while continuously evaluating and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Advise teams on how to prioritize tasks effectively based on project impact, dependencies, and available resources to ensure smooth project progression and efficient use of talent.
  • Review and evaluate project workflows, Agile practices, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by supporting diverse perspectives in project planning and encouraging collaboration among team members with varied expertise and backgrounds.
  • Coordinate handover processes for completed projects, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and ensuring that all project materials are properly archived for future reference.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project completion rates, budget adherence, and team efficiency, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in the creation, revision, and implementation of project management policies and procedures, ensuring that all team members understand and follow best practices consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • PMP, CAPM, CSP, Scrum Master certification or ability to achieve within one year of start date.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, or product ownership within a technical or software development environment.
  • Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects and working with budgets ranging from $25,000 - $150,000.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban, and managing scrum artifacts (e.g., sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives).
  • Ability to write clear, detailed user stories and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising between business units and development teams, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) or similar project management software.
  • Demonstrated skills in risk management, prioritization, and root-cause problem-solving.
  • Experience leading stakeholder demos, facilitating project retrospectives, and mentoring teams on Agile values and principles.
  • Capability to analyze and streamline applications and processes to align with strategic business goals.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, effectively managing both in-person and virtual teams to maintain productivity and alignment.
