About the position

The Technical Project Manager position within the ISS department at Amadeus is a pivotal role in the rapidly growing Hospitality Engineering division. This department is responsible for the successful delivery of critical components of Hospitality, specifically focusing on the Enterprise Program Office (EPO) team that manages program deliverables under the iHotelier Reservations and Booking Engine platform. Amadeus' iHotelier solutions are designed to provide unmatched flexibility and scalability for independent hoteliers and mid-scale chains, enabling them to create new demand and increase revenue through a powerful Central Reservations System that automates distribution across various channels including web, mobile, voice, travel agents, OTAs, and metasearch platforms. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will support the scope and manage deliverables under the stability and security portfolio, guided by strategic frameworks established by R&D and Security directives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Amadeus business knowledge, technical expertise in cloud migration, DevOps, and SREs, as well as project management skills encompassing budget, scope, and schedule management. Leadership abilities are essential to drive and lead IT initiatives effectively. The role requires a proactive thought leader with excellent analytical and planning skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate a dynamic environment through collaboration with global teams. Key responsibilities include defining the scope for delivery teams, managing ongoing pipelines, creating and updating dashboards for deliverables, providing executive summaries on risks and issues, maintaining comprehensive project documentation, and transforming data into actionable insights. The Technical Project Manager will also align stakeholders, monitor overall progress, and apply knowledge of Amadeus products to identify new opportunities for success across ISS products. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with delivery and management teams to support budgeting efforts, streamlining methodologies, developing KPIs, and managing financial planning for the area of responsibility. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role, with a focus on post-project assessments to refine project management procedures and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the efforts to define the scope for the delivery teams across, in line with the strategic objectives and proactively manage on-going pipeline and status of all deliverables, including obtaining committed delivery timeline and follow up on the delivery details.
  • Create, manage and keep updated a dashboard to provide accurate status of all deliverables, including risks & issues.
  • Provide a regular executive summary covering the risks/issues that need management attention.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate regular reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for on-going questions about the scope, deliverables, and risks and help advance the vision.
  • Transform data into insights to identify positive and negative trends and use it to help solve challenges or improve the delivery process.
  • Align stakeholders on the direction and monitor overall progress and results.
  • Apply knowledge of Amadeus products to recognize new opportunities to help shape success across ISS products.
  • Collaborate with different delivery and management teams and support sizing, estimating, and budgeting efforts as per Amadeus processes.
  • Support streamlining efforts where methodology of the delivery teams varies.
  • Support the development of KPIs and optimize and monitor overall program performance.
  • Manage the budget and financial planning for area of responsibility including reporting deviation and providing details of the provided mitigation plans.
  • Ensure correct & appropriate Data is received and tracked from R&D and other teams as defined by SLA.
  • Support delivery teams by solving & monitoring data for Problem (PTRs) respecting SLA.
  • Identify and prioritize critical issues, problems and root causes.
  • Support the conducting periodic and regular audits of incident tickets.
  • Contribute in preparing findings and recommendations to appropriate decision groups and communicate and document known resolutions to problems or issues.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in Project Management required
  • Knowledge of integration microservices within a software architecture

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred
