About the position

The Blue Ridge Consultants team is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our team as a Technical Project Manager. This role will be responsible for managing and sometimes implementing our Atlassian and Jira client engagements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, driven, and have a strong understanding of Project Management and Atlassian software. This position is mostly remote and work-from-home, but we might meet occasionally in the SC Upstate area as needed. This position is 40 hours per week, full-time and working hours are 8AM-5PM ET, Monday-Friday. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and President, successfully managing multiple client engagements simultaneously. You will develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations. As the primary point of contact for our clients, you will interact with them in meetings and through written communication, organizing and coordinating engagements effectively. You will run weekly meetings with clients to keep projects on track, provide regular updates, and address any concerns they may have. Additionally, you will track hours billed to engagements by our consultants and ensure that clients are billed successfully and accurately. The position requires a strong drive to succeed, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment. You will need to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a detail-oriented approach. Specific technical experience with the Atlassian tool suite, particularly Jira and Confluence, is essential, along with relevant certifications in Project Management and Atlassian products.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management or related roles.
  • 3 years of experience with Jira administration.
  • Strong understanding of Jira and Atlassian software.
  • Proven experience supporting and configuring the Atlassian tool suite, specifically Jira.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience at an Atlassian Solution Partner.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira Tempo add-on.
  • ITIL certifications.
