Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager 4 for Construction & Engineering to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory. This position is a staff augmentation role based in Richland, WA, with occasional per diem paid for trips to Los Alamos for onboarding and meetings as needed. The assignment is expected to last between 3 to 5 years and follows a 4/10 work schedule, allowing for a long weekend every week. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects. This includes establishing technical requirements, defining project deliverables, schedules, and communicating risks. You will oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all activities are aligned with customer requirements. The role requires you to define what will be accomplished to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the necessary work products as defined by the work assignments. In this oversight role, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and standards. You will also determine program enhancements and provide technical advice to staff and other departments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with the Department of Energy (DOE), particularly in decommissioning and decontamination (D&D), environmental restoration, and construction projects under DOE Order 413.3B. You will need to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with high-level internal and external customers, as well as perform management assessments. Your ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a variety of team efforts to completion will be crucial, along with your skills in preparing and delivering performance status communications to all levels of management.
