About the position

The Technical Project Manager (Mainframe) at TechHuman is responsible for overseeing IBM Mainframe implementations, integrations, and upgrades. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication on project goals and deadlines.
  • Track project progress, proactively identifying potential issues and addressing them to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, offering guidance and motivating team members to achieve project milestones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Apply project management best practices, continuously refining processes and methodologies for improved efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess results, capture lessons learned, and propose improvements for future initiatives.

Requirements

  • Seven total years of professional experience managing IT/Systems implementation and upgrade projects at-scale.
  • A minimum of five years of experience leading IBM mainframe projects from start to finish.
  • Prior experience managing implementation, integration, and/or upgrade projects involving mainframe technologies (z/OS, DB2, CICS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.

  • Project Management certifications such as PMP, Scrum Certified Project Manager, etc.
