About the position

The Technical Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Product Managers and Engineers in the development of new product offerings within a manufacturing environment. This position involves leading project management efforts across various divisions, ensuring projects are executed successfully within scope, budget, and timeline. The role requires collaboration with C-Suite executives and other stakeholders to track project progress and prioritize tasks, while also establishing best practices for effective project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of projects.
  • Work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels to support large-scale programs and initiatives.
  • Provide support and facilitation for the end-to-end product introduction process by coordinating communications and managing workflow between teams.
  • Establish and support a consistent methodology for resource management across key initiatives.
  • Drive best practice standardization and adoption for project management across the portfolio.
  • Engage in all aspects of project management, including project planning, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for team members' issues requiring higher expertise to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage active projects with an entrepreneurial spirit, escalating issues to the Divisional Steering Group as necessary.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering/Product background with experience in both project management and product design.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management.
  • Generalist project management background comfortable covering a variety of domains.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with C-Suite and Executives, managing expectations effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in new product design.
  • Experience working with Product Development teams.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
