About the position

The Technical Project Manager will lead modernization efforts for IIG, focusing on transitioning from legacy applications to cloud technologies. This role is crucial in achieving the organization's top IT priority of modernizing applications, supporting a multi-year technology initiative, and leveraging technical expertise to enhance project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support IIG's Modernization roadmap focused on migrating applications to the cloud.
• Utilize strategic thinking to understand the big picture and refine details for effective prioritization.
• Develop and implement processes that drive organizational success through architecture and technology solutions.
• Manage ambiguity and foster relationships across sub-divisions to advance the modernization roadmap.
• Oversee technology projects or technical workstreams within broader projects or programs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor project plans, contributing expertise to major deliverables, milestones, and tasks.
• Provide insights on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project status and issues.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues on technology projects.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of technology and Product Engineering practices.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and prioritize work efficiently.
• Strong communication abilities with the capacity to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Establish and develop relationships with others.
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, technology dashboards, and other big-picture planning practices.
• Desire to quickly grow expertise and learn continuously.
