About the position

The Technical Project Manager for Modernization will lead efforts to transition legacy applications to cloud technologies, playing a crucial role in achieving the organization's IT modernization goals. This position is essential for supporting a multi-year technology initiative aimed at enhancing project outcomes through technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Drive Modernization: Support IIG's Modernization roadmap focused on migrating applications to the cloud, reducing our data center and mainframe footprint, and enhancing consumer access to quality data through cloud technologies.
• Strategic Leadership: Utilize strategic thinking to understand the big picture and refine details, enabling SI teams to prioritize work effectively.
• Process Implementation: Develop and implement processes to streamline modernization efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, particularly in technology modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and application migration processes.
• Excellent strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with legacy application systems and their transition to cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
