About the position

The New Process/Product Introduction Technical Project Manager at Tesla is responsible for overseeing the successful rollout of changes to existing products and processes within the Residential Energy Business. This role involves collaboration with engineering, supply chain, demand planning, and operations teams to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key point of contact for all cross-functional changes to existing products/process
• Run Change Control Board, meeting with change owners to ensure changes have a well-defined positive business impact prior to leadership review
• Run trials, working with operations teams and customers to select candidates, tracking trials through systems and ensuring they are successful learning opportunities
• Support trial data analysis with change owners to justify the move to full-scale launch, manage supersession, and update site design tools for successful launch
• Create and maintain reports and presentations on a regular basis focused on project schedules and budgets, using data visualization
• Engage actively with individuals and multi-functional teams to ensure that projects are done on time and within budget
• Implement process improvements and scalability tools in above areas

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in new product introduction
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of manufacturing/operations, experience in residential energy is preferred
• Proven ability to operate under pressure with rigid time constraints
• Ability to track and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate across cultures and geographic regions
