About the position

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Technical Project Manager to lead technical projects. The role requires at least 10 years of experience and a strong technical background in web development technologies such as REACT JS, NODE JS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The Technical Project Manager will oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards while collaborating with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver valuable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Oversee the development and implementation of web applications using React JS and Node JS.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Execute the full lifecycle of development.
• Utilize excellent analytical skills to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Benchmark and optimize project performance.
• Manage release and build processes using GIT and Jenkins.
• Write JavaScript unit tests and utilize standard web testing frameworks.
• Work in an agile project environment and utilize related methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in project management and technical leadership.
• Strong proficiency in React JS, Node JS, vanilla JavaScript, OOP JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6.
• Experience in developing and maintaining hybrid applications.
• Solid experience creating and consuming web APIs using SOAP and REST.
• Familiarity with popular React.js workflows such as Flux or Redux.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS (LESS/SASS), responsive design, and semantic markup.
• Experience with data structure libraries like Immutable.js.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token.
• Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools like Babel, Webpack, and NPM.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with agile methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of performance benchmarking and optimization techniques.
