About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the corporate strategy for testing and detection systems across factories and suppliers. This role involves analyzing new products to implement effective manufacturing test processes, designing and maintaining production test systems, and ensuring smooth transitions from design to manufacturing for new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear leadership and vision of corporate production test strategy worldwide, including 5-year planning and project status visibility.
  • Guide and lead factory production test engineers.
  • Design appropriate test systems for production level testing based on product specifications.
  • Implement and sustain data output from production tests to aid in Quality Control and SPC detections.
  • Coordinate and build test systems including test fixtures, programming stations, and software.
  • Lead the production implementation, validation, and troubleshooting of test systems, driving activities to closure with cross-functional teams.
  • Sustain production test systems, including fixture/cable repair and software updates.
  • Ensure effective ECO and change management of products in production.
  • Prioritize production test failures and provide guidance for failure analysis.
  • Train, audit, and validate equipment worldwide as needed.
  • Identify and implement improvement projects focused on production test processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, HW/SW or related field.
  • 7-10 years of technical experience in production testing in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Direct experience in multi-factory test system implementations.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Experience in flow process design, lean manufacturing, and six sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with test fixtures, cabling, flashing firmware/software, serialization, and traceability implementations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with statistical tools and methods for problem solving in quality or process improvement.
  • Excellent presentation abilities.
