About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Daniel Defense is responsible for leading and managing cross-functional projects within the eCommerce and digital marketing environment. This role involves ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework, facilitating communication among teams, and optimizing product detail pages for SEO and user experience. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams to manage inventory, analyze data, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, all while promoting a safe and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the Scrum framework is followed and assist the team in removing obstacles.
  • Work closely with procurement and operations teams to manage stock levels and replenishments.
  • Create and maintain Product Detail Pages, Banners, and inventory levels within the backend/Admin system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize PDPs for SEO and user experience.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional and cross-team projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Analyze integrated data sets to extract actionable insights and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Use SQL to query databases, extract data, and perform detailed analyses.
  • Own and lead internal meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment among team members and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and performance metrics to upper management.
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for new features and enhancements.
  • Manage custom integrations using APIs between eCommerce platforms and other systems.
  • Develop data mapping documents and maintain documentation for data integrations.
  • Assist the Compliance team in ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Commerce to improve processes and ensure team alignment.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide support, training, and development to team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Operations, Project/Product Management, inventory management, or as a Scrum Master, preferably in an eCommerce or digital marketing environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Snowflake is required.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce is essential.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Optimizely, Odoo) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, ODP/Zaius) is beneficial.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo) and CRM software is advantageous.
