About the position

The Service Engineering Technical Project Manager serves as the primary technical liaison for assigned units, responsible for managing outage scopes, tracking modifications, and leading investigations. This role requires collaboration with the Program Service Manager and Project Management Office to provide technical expertise and support to both internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal and external technical point of contact for assigned units.
  • Define and forecast outage scopes and track implementation status of modifications.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis activities.
  • Support configuration planning and management for assigned units.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for outage execution.
  • Coordinate technical support to sales and commercial operations.
  • Maintain and manage technical risks for assigned units, providing probability and impact assessments.
  • Review parts pedigree and manufacturing/repair NCRs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and operational failures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements based on findings from root cause analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably 8 years of experience in rotating equipment design/service or combined cycle power plant operation and maintenance.
  • Preferably 5+ years of complex root cause analysis experience (8D, Fishbone, Fault Tree, etc.).
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage others and drive tasks to completion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in customer service and commercial awareness.
