About the position

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) role focuses on leading the migration of Business Intelligence (BI) reports from Cognos to Power BI, leveraging SAP S/4HANA data. This position requires collaboration with offshore development teams and various business units to ensure data accuracy and effective project delivery. The TPM will also be responsible for stakeholder management, data governance, and supporting end-user training for Power BI adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of BI reports from Cognos to Power BI, utilizing SAP S/4HANA data across FICO, Subscriptions, and E-Commerce modules.
• Collaborate with offshore development teams to build Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the enterprise.
• Work closely with SAP S/4HANA teams to extract and integrate data from relevant SAP modules using Azure Databricks and ETL pipelines.
• Develop project plans and manage the delivery timeline for migrating reports across various business units.
• Stakeholder management, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Data governance and quality assurance to ensure data is accurately reflected in reports post-migration.
• Support end-user training and adoption of Power BI across Costco's business functions.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, specifically with SAP FICO, Subscriptions, or E-Commerce modules.
• Proven experience managing BI migrations from Cognos or other platforms to Microsoft Power BI.
• Azure Databricks knowledge for data transformation and analytics at scale.
• Experience working with ETL processes for extracting SAP data and building data models for reporting.
• Strong familiarity with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data models) and the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Experience leading offshore teams, ensuring alignment and quality of deliverables.
• Project management expertise, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple levels.
