About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the mission is never interrupted. Your work will involve delivering clarity through cloud solutions and providing operational support that delivers actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. In this role, you will serve as the lead technical resource, providing strategic oversight and planning for applications architecture and design. You will coordinate the development of new software system applications and provide technical expertise in software architecture. Your responsibilities will include documenting and designing software specifications for software engineers and developers, producing software prototypes to demonstrate application of design, and analyzing, defining, and documenting requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments, and network connectivity. You will lead the development of system prototypes to demonstrate application of design principles and assign technical experts for all major projects. Additionally, you will monitor trends in system architecture and software development and engineering, recommending training in software development technologies. Your work will be integral to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients, making this a highly impactful position within GDIT.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical resource providing strategic oversight and planning for applications architecture and design.
  • Coordinate the development of new software system applications.
  • Provide technical expertise in software architecture.
  • Document and design software specifications for software engineers/developers.
  • Produce software prototypes to demonstrate application of design.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, and network connectivity.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in systems engineering and project management.
  • Proficient in IDEs, programming languages, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience) is required.
