About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at GDIT, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering operational support and actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. This position requires a strong focus on software systems and systems engineering, utilizing your skills in waterfall project management to oversee the development and implementation of new software applications. You will be responsible for coordinating the development of software systems, providing technical expertise in software architecture, and documenting software specifications for engineers and developers. Your work will not only involve leading the development of system prototypes but also analyzing and defining requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and network connectivity. This role demands a proactive approach to solving complex IT issues while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical resource providing strategic oversight and planning for applications architecture and design.
  • Coordinate the development of new software system applications.
  • Provide technical expertise in software architecture.
  • Document and design software specifications for software engineers/developers.
  • Produce software prototypes to demonstrate application of design.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, and network connectivity.
  • Lead development of system prototypes to demonstrate application of design principles.
  • Assign technical experts for all major projects and associated reviews.
  • Monitor trends in system architecture and software development and engineering.
  • Recommend training in software development technologies.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in technical project management.
  • Proficient in IDEs, programming languages, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
