About the position

Kadiak LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support our Federal client in managing complex fixed and mobile communications modernization projects. This role involves providing acquisition support, engineering, and technical project management, requiring daily interaction with Government representatives. The ideal candidate must possess acquisition experience and hold an active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/Poly. This position is critical in ensuring the successful execution of projects while adhering to government standards and regulations. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving all project risks and issues. They will establish, modify, implement, and monitor systems and procedures to enhance timely and efficient workflow. The role requires maintaining several schedules for various projects at different stages, demonstrating a solid understanding of Project Management methodologies and industry best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project. In addition to technical skills, the Project Manager must be able to work effectively in a team environment, leading when necessary and motivating team members. They should exhibit flexibility, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to work with minimal supervision. Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills are crucial, as is the ability to act as a liaison among customers, employees, and vendors. A basic knowledge of supply chain activities and good time management skills are also required to meet project deadlines and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, tracks, and resolves all project risks and issues

Requirements

  • Must possess a current active Top Secret clearance based on a T5/T5R investigation concluded within the past 42 months, and be SCI eligible
  • Program Management Certification: Threshold is PMP; Objective is DAWIA; Both would be Optimal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • 7 years of specific experience (including acquisition) and 10 years of general experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Project/Program Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Program Management (PMP) Certification required within 6 months of employment

Nice-to-haves
