About the position

The Technical Project Manager - Utility at DNV is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of portfolio programs aimed at providing energy efficiency products to business customers, contractors, and trade allies. This role involves program management, performance monitoring, and coordination with utility clients to ensure successful implementation of energy efficiency initiatives. The position offers a dynamic hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in work location while engaging with various stakeholders to promote energy-efficient technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Program management, working closely with utility client personnel to monitor program/project results including energy savings and quality assurance.
  • Manage performance of subcontractors and coordinate implementation of Energy Efficiency Products/Services with customers.
  • Conduct on-site visits and customer interviews to gather feedback and insights.
  • Review and process invoices related to program activities.
  • Facilitate analysis of energy efficiency products and build strategies for achieving program goals.
  • Develop recommendations to improve the program as needed based on performance data.
  • Manage project budgets and track performance against established goals.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and assist in managing live events related to energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Deliver presentations and trainings to various stakeholders including utility clients, customers, and community organizations.
  • Prepare written reports summarizing program activities and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Program Management is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment and strong management skills needed.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills for customer communication.
  • Experience delivering presentations or other public forums.
  • Budget and data management experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams.
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 5% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's in engineering, science, or energy is preferred.
  • Experience in the Utility sector segment.
