About the position

The Technical Project Manager for the Vehicle Test team at Lucid Motors is responsible for planning and organizing tests for design and production validation of luxury electric vehicles. This role requires a strong automotive professional who can manage testing schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure that testing projects remain on track. The position emphasizes collaboration with vendors and suppliers, as well as maintaining and enhancing vehicle testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and organize the vehicle testing schedule.
  • Ensure testing projects stay on track by coordinating resources and identifying and eliminating blockers.
  • Manage system and vehicle testing requirements across the organization, including securing test facilities and coordinating logistics for significant off-site tests.
  • Enhance and maintain vehicle testing program processes for tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with vendors/suppliers executing tests on Lucid's behalf.
  • Support the organization by coordinating resources and eliminating blockers.
  • Regularly report testing status to management and executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science minimum in a relevant science or engineering field or extensive years doing relevant work in the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience with automotive vehicle testing.
  • Strong understanding of industry vehicle testing standards and testing requirements.
  • Experience in system testing, especially for chassis and powertrain components.
  • Experience making and tracking schedules for large programs/projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive testing process for production vehicles.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management.
  • Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects.
  • Track record of establishing strong processes and work procedures.
  • Organized mindset and time management skills to keep projects on track.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • MBA or professional certification for Project/Program Management.
  • Experience testing fully electric vehicles.
  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
