About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the delivery execution team, managing customer engagements and leading co-located teams to ensure successful project delivery throughout the software development life cycle. This role involves project planning, resource coordination, risk management, performance measurement, and ensuring quality assurance while providing technical guidance to the project team.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management including scope, schedule, velocity, efficiency, quality.
• Create and manage detailed project plans for each milestone and release.
• Resource allocation, ensuring availability and capacity management.
• Identify team members' growth and training needs.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Oversee quality assurance and ensure objectives are met.
• Plan and manage project budgets to ensure effective use of financial resources.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
• Ensure technical feasibility of projects.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical project management or similar experience/expertise.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies is required.
• Experience executing projects in Agile methodology using the Scrum framework.
• Capable of providing gap analysis and needs assessments to uncover business needs.
• Proactively identify future blockers and gaps and work closely with the team and client to minimize productivity loss.
• Experience working with JIRA, ADO, or similar project management tools.
• Generating data-centric metrics, effective reports, and dashboards.
• Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in web and/or mobile development technologies like Java, React, Node.js, Angular, HTML/CSS3, SQL or similar query languages.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline processes, cloud infrastructure, and source code repositories.
• Able to lead the technical team by providing guidance.
• Identify the need for aligning the technical architect, product owner, QE lead, or right stakeholder with the team as per the requirement.
• Work with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors and resolve dependencies and blockers.
• Strong experience in leading, facilitating, and motivating teams for small to medium IT projects required.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Being flexible and able to adjust plans as project requirements change.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP, SAFe, CSM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
