About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of web and mobile technology projects. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and resources while ensuring quality and efficiency. The manager will also provide technical guidance, conduct risk management, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management including scope, schedule, velocity, efficiency, and quality.
• Create and manage detailed project plans for each milestone and release.
• Resource allocation, ensuring availability and capacity management.
• Identify team members' growth and training needs.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Oversee quality assurance and ensure objectives are met.
• Planning and managing project budgets to ensure financial resources are used effectively.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and managing financial resources.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
• Ensure technical feasibility of projects.
• Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in technical project management or similar experience/expertise.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies is required.
• Experience executing projects in Agile methodology using the scrum framework.
• Capable of providing gap analysis and needs assessments to uncover business needs.
• Proactively identifying future blockers and gaps and working closely with the team and client to minimize productivity loss.
• Experience working with JIRA, ADO, or similar project management tools.
• Generating data-centric metrics, effective reports, and dashboards.
• Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in web and/or mobile development technologies like Java, React, Node.js, Angular, HTML/CSS3, SQL or similar query languages.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline and processes, cloud infrastructure, and source code repositories.
• Able to lead the technical team by providing guidance.
• Identifying the need to align the technical architect, product owner, QE lead, or right stakeholder with the team as per the requirement.
• Strong experience in leading, facilitating, and motivating teams for small to medium IT projects required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP, SAFe, CSM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
