About the position

The Technical Project Manager for the University of California, Berkeley, will play a pivotal role in the complete redesign of the bampfa.org website and the development of a new Content Management System (CMS) for the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA). This position requires close collaboration with a core project team, external vendors, and key stakeholders across the institution. The Technical Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that the transition to a new website and CMS is seamless and meets the needs of both internal and external users. The role involves gathering data about user needs, conducting vendor and market research, and drafting a Request for Proposal (RFP) to guide the selection of external partners. The Technical Project Manager will manage the end-to-end process of redesigning and rebuilding the bampfa.org website, which represents institutional programming from the early 1970s to the present. This may involve transitioning from the current Drupal platform to a new system, such as WordPress. The position will also entail implementing a CMS that will house BAMPFA's upcoming and historical events, programs, and exhibitions.
