About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the migration of FTP systems and manage infrastructure projects, ensuring successful project delivery through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for FTP migration and infrastructure projects.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, development, and operations teams, to gather requirements and ensure project alignment.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the FTP migration process, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Oversee infrastructure setup, configuration, and testing related to the FTP migration.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and updates, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Generate and present project reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a focus on FTP migration and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of FTP protocols, file transfer methods, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of network architecture and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
