About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Trimble Inc. will oversee engineering projects in the productization and research phases, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution from concept to customer delivery. The role requires strong process orientation, people skills, and an agile mindset to facilitate project management processes and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects in the productization (NPI) and research (NTI) phases.
• Facilitate the Trimble internal process, T5, for Product Introduction projects.
• Participate in quarterly roadmap planning with product leadership.
• Act as SCRUM Master for Agile development teams to enhance team performance.
• Facilitate project gate review meetings for stakeholder approval.
• Provide regular project updates in an executive summary format.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource estimates.
• Build strong working relationships with key contributors.
• Use influence and teamwork to drive results against objectives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working on engineering teams developing embedded systems.
• 5+ years in project management for software/firmware and hardware projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of Google Suite, Aha, and Jira.
• Proficient in scheduling tools like Smartsheets.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies.
• Effective prioritization of work across multiple projects.
