About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Schneider Electric is responsible for delivering Building Automation System projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating project activities, managing project financials, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The position requires a solid understanding of building automation control systems and project management skills, along with the ability to navigate contracting procedures and documentation effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Fully accountable for the quality of project execution and documentation.
  • Overall Project Portfolio Financial Management.
  • Monitor and control progress and budget, assess and manage risks to meet customer satisfaction and project profitability.
  • Maintain project schedules.
  • Develop strong relationships with the customer base through excellent project execution.
  • Contribute to the project managers community within Schneider Electric.
  • Resolve project-related issues through RFIs, field surveys, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree or related experience preferred (e.g. Project Management, Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the industry of Building Automation, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or another technical related field.
  • Understanding of and proficient in project management skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Professional Scheduling Programs.
  • Financial acumen and understanding.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and convince internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Building Automation control systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry construction knowledge.
