About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the development and certification of wireless products, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. This role involves managing client escalations, improving processes, and working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and certification of wireless products, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain close relationships with carriers/operators to ensure timely product approvals.
  • Demonstrate understanding of carrier requirements to drive product development and certification.
  • Maintain effective communication with product development teams, management, and clients.
  • Manage client escalations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Build strong relationships with 3rd party partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures for product quality and timely delivery.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Communication technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in the wireless industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wireless communication technologies such as 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage customer escalations and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with wireless product design and development processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of wireless carrier certification processes and requirements, including FCC, PTCRB, GCF, and carrier-specific certifications.
  • Familiarity with PC OEM 4G/5G requirements.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with wireless test equipment and tools such as signal generators, signal analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Mandarin proficiency.
